Welcome to Indigo Class's page! We are a Year 3 class with 29 pupils altogether. Our class teacher is Miss Hollick. We are supported by Mrs Ellis and Mrs Irving, our HLTAs.
Thank you to all the parents/carers who joined us for the 'meet the teacher' meeting. If you missed it, please find the slides here.
Our topic is...
Our afternoons in year 3/4 have all been about practising for our Christmas production. The songs are looking great and we can't wait to perform next week.
In science we will be carrying out an independent investigation. This will include carrying out research, measuring and recording. As a team, they will share their investigation with the rest of the class.
History will be a bit like science where we will be investigating the Ancient Egyptians. We will look at their achievements and how they have influenced our lives today.
English has moved onto looking at non-chronological reports. We are looking at what the purpose of them are, the audience and the features of a non-chronological report.
We are still looking at addition and subtraction of 3-digit numbers in Maths. We have been using a lot of column method.
We have been busy making crafts for the christmas spare during any spare time we have so please come along to our stall!
PE is on Tuesdays and Fridays so please ensure children bring kits on both days. Our PE slot on a Friday is the last lesson of the day. After speaking with other members of staff and some parents, it has been decided that the children will go home on a Friday in their PE kit to ensure they have the most time possible learning.
Children can access Bug Club, Times Table Rockstars, Purple Mash and Mathletics from home.
Log on details are inside their reading records.

Reading records are checked every Monday and Thursday. We will also try and change any reading books that need changing on these days too.
Please ensure that planners are brought to school everyday.
Mathletics and purple mash (English) homework is set on a Monday and due to be completed online by the following Monday.
Children will be tested on their spellings on a Thursday and given new spellings to learn for the following week.
Times tables homework books will go home everyday as extra times tables practise. This week the children are completing their 7 x tables in the books.
