Lineham farm 2018
On Tuesday 19th June, the Year 6 children are going on their long awaited residential trip to Lineham Farm, an activity centre in Eccup. The children will have the opportunity to participate in lots of exciting activities which will promote self-esteem and confidence, personal and social communication skills and physical health. We are hoping to be posting regular updates on the website and twitter account so keep an eye on this page!
Tuesday 19th June
It was a busy and very exciting first day! When we arrived we were met my Jo who told us all about the week ahead and of most importantly - which rooms we were in! Once our beds were made (this took a while for some of us!) we had lunch before our first activities. Blue and Yellow group did Low Ropes and Nightline while Red group went cycling through the woods and Green group did archery. After showers and tea, we went on an evening walk - the views were spectacular!
Wednesday 20th June
After a good nights sleep we awoke to an overcast, drizzly morning - we didn't let that dampen our spirits though. We are divided into four activity groups - Red, Yellow, Green and Blue and each does different activities. Today's activities were Bushcraft, cycling, archery and Lineham explorers. In the evening we had a games evening outside with Sophie.
Thursday 21st June
The sun was shining when we awoke this morning which set us up for another action packed day. The groups that hadn't done cycling, bushcraft, archery and Lineham explorers had their chance today and Red and Green groups really challenged themselves at the climbing activities - all of them managed to reach the top of Jacob's Ladder! It will be Yellow and Blue group's turn tomorrow. We celebrated our final evening together with the traditional talent show (and what a talented bunch they are) and a movie.
