Times Table Rockstars:
Reading records are checked on Monday's and Thursday's to ensure the children have read 5 pages. Children can use Bug Club and read online and read their own books from home too.
Children can use TTRockstars to get extra help with learning their times tables. They can battle each other and set personal challenges in order to recall their times tables faster.
Every week in our maths classes, we focus on a times table and the children will get the chance to battle for TT Champion.
The children also have a times table book in school.
Spellings: They will be sent home with a set of spellings on a Friday and tested the following Friday. This can be up to 10 spellings per week.
Maths: Maths homework will be online using Mathletics. It will be based on what they are learning or have learnt throughout the year. This is set on a Friday and they have a week to complete it.
English: English homework will be set on google classroom and it may include tasks similar to their current learning in class or grammar focussed. This is set on a Friday and due in a week later.
Learn By Hearts (Maths Facts): these are factual based for maths. It may include number bonds, times tables or facts about shapes. These are set every other Friday. Children will be sent home with them on a Friday, tested the following Friday and then tested again the Friday after to see if their scores have improved. Then they will be given a new set to learn.
