Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to help schools close the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers. It is allocated to schools based on the number of pupils who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), have been eligible in the past six years, are in care, or have parents in the armed forces.

At our school, we are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to high-quality education and the opportunity to thrive. Our Pupil Premium Strategy outlines how we use this funding to make a measurable impact on outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.

Our approach is rooted in evidence-based practice and aligned with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) guidance. It focuses on three key areas:

  • High-quality teaching for all
  • Targeted academic support
  • Wider strategies to address non-academic barriers to success

We rigorously monitor the progress of disadvantaged pupils and adapt our strategy annually to reflect current needs, attainment data, and best practice. Our goal is to ensure equity in education and to empower every pupil to reach their full potential.
